Tagging

By taking time to understand tagging, you'll be better equipped to use the full potential of the advanced features listed in this article.

What is a Tag?

A Tag can be thought of as a labeling system which can be attached to a Contact and/or Project. These tags can help us understand how our business is performing, what products or services are in the highest demand, what phase your Contacts are in (lead, client, onboarding, fulfillment), and more!

There are two incredible articles you can use to learn more about tags. If you want to see a bit more surface-level overview for tagging, be sure to read our "Tag Feature Overview" article. To learn more about the 17hats Tag Management Tool, be sure to check out this "Tag Management" article.

Contact Tags

Adding a Tag to your Contact can be a great way to track your contact activity through the years. Common Contact Tags may include labels regarding;

  • The year(s) your Contact inquired

  • The service(s) your Contact showed interested in

  • How your Contact was referred to your business

Project Tags

The potential for your Project Tags is even more powerful than Contact Tags as Project Tags directly tie into both the Pipeline and Bulk Workflow features. Common Project Tags may mirror the contact tags above, as well as include labels regarding;

  • Status of various 17hats Documents

  • Rating found on a Questionnaire

  • What stage your Contact is in (lead, client, onboarding, fulfillment)

Workflows

Workflows are one of the ways 17hats can help you automate your business. Once you've lined out your process, simply craft your Workflow by defining if a task should be considered a:

  • To Do Item (something you physically need to do)

  • Action Item (something 17hats can do for you)

  • Pause (a pause point within the Workflow)

When it comes to creating Workflows, there's a process of videos and articles which are outlined below.

When it comes to triggering your Workflows, remember that you can trigger workflows from your Lead Capture Forms, Online Scheduling, Quotes, from the Project Page, and more!

Pipelines

Pipelines are a fantastic way to get a 360° view of your business within 17hats! 17hats Pipelines can be customized to follow the various phases of your lead & client experience and utilize the Project Tags mentioned above as well as time in prior phases to help move projects along the Pipeline.

When diving into Pipelines, it's a good idea to first become familiar with all they can do!
