Lead Capture Email Setup
How to setup a Lead Capture email rule for WeddingWire, TheKnot.com, and ShowitFast websites.

A Lead Capture Email rule allows 17hats to monitor an email address for new messages from WeddingWire, TheKnot.com, or ShowitFast websites. 

For this to work, you first have to connect the email address you get notifications from within the Incoming Email section of your 17hats Account. This is not a direct integration with WeddingWire, TheKnot, or ShowitFast, but rather a way for 17hats to monitoring your Incoming Email connection for Lead Notification Emails. We then turn those email notifications into New Lead Projects in 17hats! 

Steps to Create your Lead Capture Email Rule
You will first want to verify what email address receives your Lead Notification emails from WeddingWire, TheKnot or Showit. Then, make sure the email address that receives these emails is connected within 17hats under your Email Settings (Account Settings > Email settings).  

Once you have confirmed the email address is connected, go to your Lead Capture Forms template page. You can get there by going to the Leads page in 17hats then click on "Lead Capture Forms" button on the top right of the page. 

Once on your Lead Capture Form Template page, click the (+) button and select the option to add a new Lead Capture Email Rule.

 A dialog window will appear where you'll choose six different settings. 

  1. The source 17hats will look for emails notification in

  2.  The email account 17hats will review 

  3. How to be notified

  4. What auto-response, if any, you'd like to go out

  5. What Calendar the new lead project should go to

  6. The Lifecycle that should activate on the leads project. 

Once you save these settings, your new Lead Capture Email rule will be listed on the left side of the screen under "Lead Capture Methods."  Want to verify your form is working? Test it out!
Submit a test lead on your WeddingWire, TheKnot, or ShowitFast Website. Be sure to use an email address other than the one used in your incoming email settings, or listed within your 17hats Account Settings. Once you submit your test lead, please wait 20-30 minutes for your Incoming Email to sync.  
New leads gathered from a Lead Capture Email do not instantly appear in 17hats. The platform monitors your connected email addresses, as well as all our other member's connected email addresses, so we bring in new email messages in cycles. While your incoming email can sync quickly, it may take 20-45 minutes for your incoming email address to connect. Your new lead will appear in 17hats with the next sync cycle after the notification email has been received.
Please leave the Email Notification unread within your inbox until you see that your Incoming Email has synced.
If you update your email address password, or if your incoming email stops syncing, you will need to reconnect your Lead Capture Email rules. Once the Incoming Email sync connection is broken, 17hats will no longer be able to monitor the email address. As soon as your incoming email address is reconnected, you can update your Email Lead Capture settings to re-select the email address notifications are received.
