Email Lead Capture Form Details
Learn how to customize the form details for each of your Email Lead Capture Forms.

For each Lead Capture Email, you’ll define five form settings. You can set different details form each form as you’ll need to create separate Lead Capture Email rules for WeddingWire, TheKnot, and ShowitFast. The five form detail settings you’ll set are:

  1. Source

  2. Email Account

  3. Auto-Response

  4. Calendar

  5. Lifecycle


Choose which sources this rule will be for: The Knot, WeddingWire, or ShowitFast. You will need to create an email rule for each site you wish to bring in Leads from. If you do not already have an account with any of these sites, you will need to sign up directly on their websites.

Email Account

Choose the Email Address that you’ receive New Lead Email Notifications at. This is the email address that is synced in your Incoming Email section and is how 17hats knows to monitor the address for notifications.


If selected, 17hats will send an auto-response message to the new lead once they have been added to the platform.  We suggest keeping this message simple, so you can send a more detailed message with a questionnaire at a later time.


The Calendar setting allows you to select the calendar the project event will be added to. To find your leads easier, create a calendar called "Leads or Request to Book" and assign all Lead Forms to that calendar. To read more on how we recommend setting up your calendars, please click here.


Lifecycles give you a visual representation of where your Lead is at in your Client Experience. Choose a lifecycle to start when your lead form is filled out, or use the starter lifecycle pre-created upon sign-up.

Common Issues/Questions:

1. Email Lead Capture New Leads are not an instant sync. They will sync into 17hats at the time your Incoming goes through the next sync cycle once the notification email has been received.
>>> Please leave the Email Notification within your inbox until you see that your Incoming Email has synced!

2. Updating your Password: Since your Leads are brought into 17hats through your incoming email sync, if you update your Email Provider Password at any point in time, this will cause your Incoming Email Sync to break in 17hats, thus breaking this Email "rule" integration. Please make sure to reconnect and update your "Email Lead Capture" Settings!
