Navigate to Account Settings > Email Settings.
When trying to connect your Outgoing Server (SMTP) to 17hats, different email providers require different settings.
17hats recommends you to try these ports first:
- Port 587 with SSL off
- Port 465 with SSL on
- Port 25 or Port 26 with SSL off
Individual providers may add non-standard ports, but that is specific to their setup.
It is important to note that for SSL to work, the server certificate has to match the domain name used to connect. This is quite often not the case with providers that use shared hosting.
