In order for 17hats to be able to talk to your Microsoft Office 365 email account, you will need to ensure that Microsoft's Security Defaults setting is turned off in your Microsoft Office 365 account. This setting forces Microsoft's "Modern Authentication" on, which 17hats does not yet support.

To disable the setting:

  • Go to https://portal.azure.com and log in with your Microsoft account (please note that if you bought your account through GoDaddy, you will be taken to a GoDaddy page to sign in after trying to sign in at https://portal.azure.com. Just sign in to GoDaddy on that page using the same Microsoft login, and you will be taken to the next step)

  • Click the hamburger menu in the top left corner to open the sidebar, and choose Azure Active Directory near the bottom of the sidebar menu (you may need to scroll down to see it):

  • Click Properties, again near the bottom of the sidebar (you may need to scroll down to see it):

  • Click Manage Security Defaults in the bottom left of the main pane (you may need to scroll down to see it):

  • Ensure the "Enable Security Defaults" option is set to No, and click "Save" if you changed it:

Connect your email account in 17hats
