Disruptor Marketing is a marketing solution for small and medium businesses that help generate, nurture, and convert leads through the use of marketing campaigns.
The 17hats integration with Disruptor Marketing allows for automatic transfer and sync of your client data to 17hats.
Connection to Disruptor Marketing
From your 17hats Account Settings > Integrations, find Disruptor Marketing and click on the connect button.
Then you will be asked to login to Disruptor Marketing through a new tab.
Once logged into Disruptor Marketing, you will need to click the connect button inside 17hats again to select the account within Disruptor Marketing you want to connect to.
How to Use the Integration
Contact Tag
From Disruptor Marketing, contacts tagged ‘client’ will be brought into 17hats. Once a contact is tagged, a New Contact and Project will be created in 17hats.
Contact Details to be copied over to 17hats from Disruptor Marketing:
First and Last Name
Primary Email Address
Primary Phone Number
Date of Birth
Business Name
Street Address
City
Country
State
Postal Code
Website
Tags
Contact details will continue to stay in sync between 17hats and Disruptor Marketing as long as the contact in Disruptor Marketing is tagged ‘Client’. This means if a change is made to a contact detail in Disruptor Marketing, that change will carry over to 17hats and vice-versa.
Birthday is the only Contact detail that if changed in 17hats, will not be synced over Disruptor Marketing due to limitation of the API.
Contact Type is not allowed by the API to be copied from Disruptor Marketing to 17hats; therefore all contacts coming to 17hats from Disruptor Marketing will be labeled as an “Other” type Contact in 17hats. While we understand this is a slight inconvenience, as soon as your Contact completes a 17hats Quote, Contract, and/or Invoice, they will be automatically changed to a Client in 17hats.
Contact Tags from Disruptor Marketing will be brought into 17hats, however Contact Tags added by 17hats will not be synced back into Disruptor Marketing.
Projects
Inside 17hats a Project will be created along the Contact. The Project will automatically be named [Last Name of the Contact] - New Project.
If a Contact Source was added in Disruptor Marketing, the contact source will be added as the Project Source in 17hats. If you are using Lead Sources in your 17hats Lead Capture Forms or Online Scheduling, and do not want your Sources from Disruptor Marketing to be listed in your dropdown, we recommend you move that source to an Inactive Lead Source in 17hats.
FAQs
My contact is coming in as an Other type to 17hats. Can that be changed?
The API does not allow us to set the contact type. Good news is that as soon as the contact completes a Quote, Contract, and/or Invoice inside 17hats, the contact will automatically update to a client.
I would like other contacts to come over to 17hats other than the ones that are tagged ‘client’. How can I do that?
Currently our integration only brings over contacts with the ‘client’ tag. However you can export from Disruptor Marketing and import them into 17hats or use a third party such as Zapier to keep it all in sync.
Can I use the same Disruptor Marketing account in multiple 17hats Brands?
Unfortunately not. Each Brand in 17hats must have its own Disruptor Marketing account to use the integration; you cannot use the same Disruptor account across multiple 17hats Brands.
