How do I export my contact list?

Learn the two options to export your contacts out of 17hats

17hats is a contact-based system. A Contact is defined as anyone you communicate with and are classified into four types: Hot Leads, Clients, Cold Prospects, and Other. As needed, you can export your contacts for use outside of the platform. 

There are two ways to export contacts out of 17hats: 

  1. A CSV Export

  2. Zapier Integration

CSV Export

You can export your Contacts into a CSV file from your "Contacts" or "Leads" pages. Once you've navigated to either the "Leads" or "Contacts" page, press the gear icon on the top right of the section. Then, select the "Export Contacts" option:

The download will automatically begin and the file will appear in your downloads file. You can then upload that document to Google Sheets, Excel, or any other spreadsheet program.

Using this export option, you can also export contacts by type or contact tag. To do so, use the "Filter" options, or search for the specific tag within the tag search bar.

Please note, only "Contact Details" can be exported at this time. Project information including documents, project details, emails, time logs, etc. will need to be saved individually. 

Zapier Integration

Zapier is a website that allows you to connect two websites or apps together. You'll set up a "Zap" that uses actions completed in one website or app to determine and trigger actions to be completed in other websites or apps. For example, you can automatically update your email contact list as new contacts are added into 17hats! 

To export your contacts from 17hats into another site, you'll need to set up a Zapier account. Then, you can integrate Zapier with 17hats and begin creating your Zaps!
