Many 17hats Members have multiple businesses or 'brands' that they would like to manage separately. 17hats offers the ability to manage ALL linked brands with ease using a single master login.
The Brand feature is intended to allow members to manage the various businesses they own in one place. For example, a design firm that does both website and social media design may want to have multiple brands so all their documents and other items are branded for their set purpose.
Creating a Linked Brand Account
Adding another brand is quick, easy, and can be completed on any page.
To get started, click your logo or initials on the top right-hand side of the page.
Next, use the dropdown that appears and select the "Create New brand" option.
This is also where you will be able to switch between all of your accounts at a later time once you have more than 1 brand.
The second way to add a brand is to go to your My Account Info page. To access this page, click the gear icon on the top right of the page. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click the "add brand" button.
A pop-up will appear to guide you through the new brand creation process:
Once you create the new brand, you'll be taken to the account to further setup the brand.
Switching between Brands
Now for the fun part... switching between brands!
This is done from the banner at the top of your page. Clicking on any of your connected accounts here will switch to that account immediately:
Pro Tip # 1: If you want to view both accounts at the same time, be sure to view one in a regular window and the other in an incognito window to avoid any information being saved twice or overwritten. It's important to remember that you must be an Owner, Admin or User of both brands in order to switch between them.
Pro Tip # 2: If you are an employee of a company with multiple brands, please ask the account owner/ employer to give you access to the other brand(s) so you can switch between them if required.
Removing a Brand
If you would like to delete the brand, you can do so within your Account Settings.
