To connect your Siteground email account to 17hats for sending and receiving emails, first please navigate to your Email Settings page. You can click that link to go straight there, or click the gear icon in the top right hand corner of any page in 17hats to get to your Account Info page:
Then click the "Email Settings" link in the mid-left side menu:
Incoming
Click the green "Connect Account" button in the INCOMING EMAIL section:
This will show the Email Sync window. Select "Other..." from the Email Provider dropdown and enter the following settings, along with your email account's username and password:
Login: email@webaddress.com (the email address you wish to connect to 17hats)
Password: Your Siteground email password, which you use to log in to your email at https://webaddress.com/webmail/log-in
SMTP Server: mail.webaddress.com (replace webaddress.com with your custom domain)
Port: 993
SSL: Yes / Ticked
Click "Connect" to attempt a connection. If you get an error message, please take a screenshot of the error and send it to our support team via our live chat, or by email to support@17hats.com.
Outgoing
Click the green "Change Outgoing Server" button in the OUTGOING EMAIL section:
This will show the Outgoing mail server window. Select "Other..." from the Email Provider dropdown and enter these settings, along with your email account's username and password:
Login: email@webaddress.com (the email address you wish to connect to 17hats)
Password: Your Siteground email password, which you use to log in to your email at https://webaddress.com/webmail/log-in
SMTP Server: mail.webaddress.com (replace webaddress.com with your custom domain)
Port: 465
SSL: Yes / Ticked
If Port 465 and SSL yes/ticked gives an error, please try:
Login: email@webaddress.com (the email address you wish to connect to 17hats)
Password: Your Siteground email password, which you use to log in to your email at https://webaddress.com/webmail/log-in
SMTP Server: mail.webaddress.com (replace webaddress.com with your custom domain)
Port: 587
SSL: No / Unticked
